Humor
Humor as a therapeutic resource
Humor is much more than entertainment — it can help make difficult situations easier to cope with.
In therapy, coaching, and everyday life, humor acts as a resource that opens up new perspectives and allows for helpful distance. I have been working on this topic both scientifically and practically for many years and offer lectures and workshops on humor training.
It's still easier to admit you have no taste than to admit you have no humor.”
Can humor help us cope with stressful situations? What happens when we lose our sense of humor? Can humor be trained? What are its limits – and what role does it play in psychotherapy?
I deal with these questions intensively in my publications and in my practical work.
Back in 2005, I organized the 5th International Summer School on Humor and Laughter in Tübingen. For many years, I have been leading humor workshops and giving lectures for various groups – such as colleagues, patients, at professional conferences, at counseling centers, and for anyone who is interested.
